	About Us
	The Water Mechanic is a wholly owned division of Best Health Unlimited. Our shop and administrative office are located in York County , S. C. The Water Mechanic provides solutions for water quality problems as well as specializing in the investigation and remediation of water well problems. We analyze water and examine the unique aspects of each client’s situation. The Water Mechanic then provides written recommendations for the appropriate treatment or remedial action. Ron McAfee , owner, is a Certified Water Specialist II (Certification by the Water Quality Association) and a Certified Well Driller (Certification by both the South Carolina Environmental Certification Board and the National Ground Water Association).


	Location
	The Water Mechanic’s shop is located at 3221 Black Highway , York , SC with the administrative office located at 703 C. E. Stewart Road , Clover , SC 29710 . We service, assemble, and repair equipment and components in our shop on Black Highway . Due to the nature of our business, which is solving your water quality and water well problems, the majority of our work is done at the client’s location.

	Affiliations

	National Groundwater Trust
	The American Ground Water Trust is a national non-profit membership organization. As an independent authority on ground water, the trust helps educate communities how to protect, use, and manage the nation's ground water resources, now and for future generations. Everyday, the drinking water for over 140 million Americans comes from ground water. The Trust is the one organization that has the expertise and influence to foster greater communication, cooperation and action among individuals, communities, organizations and companies that use and rely on ground water.

	Water Quality Association
	The Water Quality Association is an International non-profit membership organization. Its members include manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and individuals involved in the water quality industry. The Association encourages its members to operate in an honest and ethical manner and has published its own "Code of Ethics". WQA provides training and educational materials specifically suited to the needs of its individual members. Additionally, the Association has an individual certification program whereby individuals within member organizations and companies can achieve official certification by meeting specific training and testing requirements. Continuing education is provided and is a requirement for maintenance of all certifications.

	Service Area
	The service area of our business is primarily the Charlotte Metrolina area of lower North Carolina and surrounding counties in upper state of South Carolina. South Carolina - We have installed and continue to service water systems in York, Chester, Lancaster and Cherokee Counties of South Carolina. North Carolina - We have installed and continue to service water systems in Mecklenburg, Gaston, Union, Iredell, and Cabarrus Counties of North Carolina. Other Areas - We've also done a system at Chetolah in Blowing Rock, NC. That same customer bought a home in Naples, Florida. You guessed it. They wanted us to come down and put in their water system. We had to draw the line somewhere. They understood.
