The Water Mechanic's Warranty

The Water Mechanic extends the manufacturers’ components and equipment warranties noted below on every new residential water treatment system we sell and install to five full years beginning with the date of installation.  This extended warranty is conditional upon regular and verified service and maintenance as prescribed by The Water Mechanic.  Please note that only solar salt and the prescribed salt additives should be used in water softeners and that use of other types of salt will void The Water Mechanic’s warranty.  This warranty applies only to equipment and components originally installed by The Water Mechanic.  Commercial and industrial installations are covered by applicable manufacturers’ warranties.

All components and equipment used in installations are covered by manufacturers’ warranties.  The Water Mechanic’s confidence in the products we have chosen to market as well as our experience with our products enables us to extend all the following warranties to five years.  Key manufacturers’ warranty periods are as follows:

      Fleck™ Control Valves are covered by manufacturer’s warranty for a period of two years from the date of manufacture.

       Hydrotech™ Reverse Osmosis Purification Systems are backed by a two year limited warranty.

      Smartap™ water quality monitors are backed by a five year limited warranty.

      Ionac™ ion exchange resins are warranted to perform as specified for a period of five years from the date of installation.

      Structural™ thermowound pressure tanks are covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty for a period of five years from  the date of installation.

Should the customer notice of detect a change in water quality, it is the customer’s responsibility to notify The Water Mechanic immediately.  Failure to notify promptly could cause damage to equipment and/or components and may void the above warranties.   It is The Water Mechanic’s responsibility to respond to notification in a timely manner.  This warranty does not include damage caused by microbiological contamination and unless specifically stated, water treatment and/or purification equipment does not remove, reduce or inactivate microbiological contaminants such as bacteria, cysts, viruses, etc.
